Yes. Kampala is very welcoming to tourists and will be on high alert for AFCON. The main areas to stay — Kololo, Nakasero, and around the stadium — are safe and walkable. Standard precautions apply: keep phones out of sight in busy markets, use reputable taxis or Bolt/SafeBoda for transport.

Lived here 3 years. Stadium area and the main fan zones will have heavy security. Just don't flash expensive kit and you're absolutely fine.
