Bus is the cheapest option — Modern Coast and Kampala Coach run overnight routes for around $20–$35. Flying takes 1 hour and costs $80–$150 on Uganda Airlines or Kenya Airways. During AFCON the bus routes will be busy so book ahead.

Modern Coast bus is comfortable and reliable. Book a seat by the window, bring a charger pack, and factor in at least an hour at the border.
