What to eat
Tangier has an extraordinarily cosmopolitan food culture — Moorish, Spanish, French and traditional Moroccan all intersect here. Try: Kseksou (Tangier-style couscous with fish, different from southern Moroccan versions), shermoula (marinated and grilled fish), briouates (pastry stuffed with seafood or cheese). The Café Central in the Petit Socco is a Tangier institution.
