Daily costs by host country

What does it cost on the ground?

Spain
Budget€80–120/day
Mid-range€150–220/day
Premium€300+/day

Madrid and Barcelona are expensive. Seville and Bilbao are cheaper. Budget travellers can eat well for €15–25 per meal. Hotel prices spike hard during tournament weeks.

Portugal
Budget€60–90/day
Mid-range€120–180/day
Premium€250+/day

Cheaper than Spain overall. Lisbon and Porto are good value by Western European standards. Excellent cheap food at local tascas (€10–15 per meal).

Morocco
Budget$30–50/day
Mid-range$70–120/day
Premium$180+/day

By far the cheapest of the three main hosts. Street food for under $5. Riad accommodation in Marrakech can be expensive — mid-range hotels are very reasonable.

All-inclusive vs self-booking

Is a package actually better value?

Self-booking (DIY)

Self-booking is possible and can be cheaper — if everything goes right. The risks: match tickets unavailable through the FIFA ballot, hotel prices spiking once the fixture schedule drops, flight and hotel combinations that don't align with your match dates, visa rejection due to missing documentation.

For a single-country group stage trip with one match, DIY is manageable. For a multi-country trip, knockouts, or a group of people, the coordination cost is significant.

Cantravu all-inclusive package

A Cantravu package costs more than the cheapest DIY option. What you get for the premium: guaranteed match tickets at booking (no ballot), hotel and flight locked at current pricing, visa documentation included, transfers coordinated, one invoice, WhatsApp support throughout.

The Essential Fan package starts from $3,999 — that's flights, 10 nights hotel, 3 match tickets and transfers. Compare that to building it yourself at current prices and the gap is smaller than most people expect.

Money tips

How to save on FIFA 2030

Book flights now

Current prices are lowest they will be. Flights into Madrid and Casablanca will spike when the draw drops (late 2027). Book flexible fares now and lock in.

Morocco first

Morocco is the cheapest of the three main hosts. Basing in Casablanca or Marrakech for the group stage and flying to Spain for knockouts saves significantly on accommodation.

Category 3 tickets

Category 3 group stage tickets are expected from around $80–100. Not the best seats but perfectly good for group stage atmosphere. Save Category 1 for knockout rounds.

Stay outside the city centre

Madrid, Barcelona and Lisbon all have excellent Metro connections. Staying 20 minutes out by tube cuts hotel costs by 30–50% during tournament weeks.

Travel insurance early

Tournament-period insurance is cheaper when bought further in advance. Buy when you book flights. Cancellation cover for match-related travel is worth the premium.

Package deposit now

Cantravu packages are bookable now with a deposit, balance due closer to travel. Locks in current pricing without full upfront commitment.
