Requirements by host country

🇰🇪Kenya

Visa on arrival at Jomo Kenyatta (NBO) or e-visa online at evisa.go.ke. Fee: $51 USD single entry. Processing: instant on arrival or 3–5 days online.

🇺🇬Uganda

Visa on arrival at Entebbe (EBB) or e-visa at visas.immigration.go.ug. Fee: $50 USD. Processing: instant on arrival.

🇹🇿Tanzania

Visa on arrival at Julius Nyerere (DAR) or e-visa at eservices.immigration.go.tz. Fee: $50 USD.

🌍 East Africa Tourist Visa

The East Africa Tourist Visa ($100) covers Kenya, Uganda and Rwanda as a single visa. Tanzania requires a separate visa — apply both in advance for a multi-country trip.

Practical tips for Nigeria travellers

Apply for Kenya e-visa in advance at evisa.go.ke — faster than queuing at the airport
Carry USD cash for on-arrival fees — not all airports have card machines
The East Africa Tourist Visa does NOT include Tanzania — get Tanzania separately
Yellow fever vaccination certificate required for all three countries
Keep printed copies of all visa approvals — immigration may ask for paper
