Everything India passport holders need to know about entering Kenya, Uganda and Tanzania for AFCON 2027.

Requirements by host country

🇰🇪Kenya

Kenya e-visa available online at evisa.go.ke for Indian passport holders. Fee: $51 USD. Apply 2–3 weeks before travel.

🇺🇬Uganda

Advance visa required — apply through the Uganda High Commission or online portal. Fee: $50 USD. Allow 2–3 weeks processing.

🇹🇿Tanzania

Advance visa required — apply via e-visa portal or Tanzania High Commission. Fee: $50 USD. Allow 2–3 weeks.

🌍 East Africa Tourist Visa

Indian passport holders should confirm East Africa Tourist Visa eligibility at evisa.go.ke — eligibility varies.

Practical tips for India travellers

Start visa applications at least 4 weeks before AFCON travel dates
Apply for all three visas simultaneously if visiting multiple host countries
Yellow fever certificate required — get vaccination 10 days before departure
Carry original vaccination certificate — photocopies are not accepted
