Transport
Metro is comprehensive. Trams exist but are slow — mostly for tourists. Uber and Bolt work well. The city is hilly — the historic tram 22 goes up the hills if needed.

Francisco Sá Carneiro Airport (OPO). Metro Purple Line to Trindade (25 minutes). Direct flights from London, Dublin, Amsterdam. From Africa, most routes connect via Lisbon.
What to eat
Francesinha — Porto's iconic beer-and-meat sandwich in a tomato sauce. Bacalhau com natas (cod with cream). Port wine from the lodges in Gaia. Bifanas (pork sandwiches) from street stalls. Majestic Café for pastries and coffee in a 1920s setting.
