AFCON history
Morocco's first AFCON title is itself part of an ongoing dispute. They lost the January 2026 final to Senegal 1-0 on the pitch, but CAF's Appeal Board later ruled Senegal forfeited the match over a walk-off, awarding Morocco a 3-0 win and the title. Senegal's appeal to CAS is unresolved.
1 title: 2025
Hosted AFCON 2025 and were initially runners-up to Senegal on the pitch. CAF's Appeal Board overturned that result in March 2026, declaring Morocco champions; the ruling is under appeal at the Court of Arbitration for Sport.
